@Pravit: I envy you... If I had only known I would have liked Russian I would have started much earlier and be next to fluent, like yourself, by now.
But as we say in Holland, if my aunt had had balls, she would be my uncle.
As for my english, I have an advantage over the rest because my father's English, though most dutch people can speak (with an awful accent, granted) English almost fluently. When I speak I sound like a real tosser though. My father's from Devon and has quite an accent when speaking English, so apparently I've subconsciously rejected my father's accent and sound like someone from the royal family

I also have had some early language experiences: I learned Latin from a book when I was ten and am still seeing the advantages from it, I learned the greek alphabet when I was six or seven. Not that that helped me much...
