As shown in the table, in 8 Special camps on which information is furnished, among 168994 prisoners there were 487 (0.29%) died in the IV quarter of 1950, if converting this in percentage per year, it corresponds to 1.15% of died per year. That is only a small greater than in ordinary camps. Contrary to current opinion, Special camps were not “death camp”, where otherwise-minded intellectuals were supposedly annihilated, and their most numerous contingent was composed by "nationalists" (“forest brothers” and their accessories).
