Just like Syria will be when there is total chaos and people are living hand-to-mouth in a destroyed country as opposed to a functional country before.

Excellent opportunity for interested parties to grab all valuable property, privatise previously functional state assets and obtain control over natural resources. All the while you are praising democracy and freedom.

Obviously it would have been much better to gradually reform.

Well "As you sow, so you shall also reap"... as the bible says.
Now, there is an attack against the US embassy in Yemen.
If the US stops meddling in these countries and force their values and economic regimes on these people, they will be left alone.
The same goes for the UK and all other countries that are complaining about terrorism.
Just leave them alone and they won't bother us. Trade with them under respectful, mutually beneficial terms and do not meddle with their internal policies.
That's what CHina is doing, and we are not seeing anyone attacking their embassies or crying Jihad against them, even though they are not moslems.
