    разбираться

Я хотел бы пожалуйста помощь понимать значение этого глагола.
Проблема что в словарях есть много значении и я перепутал. Я хочу только самое частое употребления этого глагола.
    1. Во первых есть форма: разбирать / разобрать. Самый частое значение: tide up. Например: Я разбираю свои вещи = I tide up my things. Правильно?
    2. Во вторых есть форма: разбираться / разобраться. My problem is that in dictionary it also says: tide up. So what I will say: Я разбираюсь свои вещи or Свои вещи разбираются
    3. Also the second form does it means: (a) understand (понимать) or (b) sort out? For example what the following expressions mean?
    (a) Мы его не признаем, с ним еще надо разбираться.
    (b) Поэтому решено разбираться, кто какие команды отдавал.
    (c) Журналистам надо лучше разбираться в вопросах, которые они освещают.
    (d) Всё его имущество будет арестованоб потом будут разьираться дальше
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

It means more like 'I sort through my belongings/stuff'. Of course this could mean that you're in the process of tidying up, but not necessary. You can also разбирать вещи in a meaning of unpacking them when you arrive from a trip.

    2. The second meaning is direct - to dissassemble (self). You won't meet this meaning very often because things usually don't disassemble by themselves. It simply derives from the vord разбирать which means 'to disassemble' or 'to dismantle' or even 'to undo' sometimes.

    (a) We still don't accept him (recognize him as our mate). We still need to sort him out.
    (b) Thus it is decided to investigate who gave which orders.
    (c) The journalists are ought to know better the subjects they write about.
    (d) (At first) all his property will be arrested and then they'll think what to do next.

to sort out, to investigate, to know better, to think
For this reason I am saying that is so difficult to understand.
The source of the problem is that I don't understand the meaning of sort out in English. In my mind the simple translation of this prhrasal verb is to handle and to solve.

The best association I can think of about this verb is: 'to try to get to the core of things/to find out about motives or driving factors/to master some knowledge.

Все значения употребляются часто, к сожалению.

    Разбирать на части:
"Эйфелеву башню можно перенести в Рим, но сначала её придётся разобрать!"

To investigate the cause of the failure
    (b) Поэтому решено разбираться, кто какие команды отдавал.
"Разбор полётов" = попытка понять, почему какое-то мероприятие прошло не так хорошо, как ожидалось.
Сборная России проиграла заведомо более слабому сопернику, и завершила выступление на турнире. Теперь предстоит разбор полётов.

Разбираться в чём-либо = to be competent in some topic

На 00:01:55 девушка произносит "Я не разбираюсь в картах".

Разбираться с вещами / разбирать вещи
Вероятно, самое малораспространённое значение. Tidy up кажется подходит идеально.

Снова напомню, что в английском есть глагол "to parse", который также переводится на русский как "разбирать", а parsing - разбор. (конструкции языка программирования).

    HTH.
"Невозможно передать смысл иностранной фразы, не разрушив при этом её первоначальную структуру."
