    Are these correct?

This is my first post. I've been to Moscow 3 times and have decided to learn Russian.

I'm having trouble with some translations in my book. Are the following Russian sentences correct?
Мне не нравится ваша семья. ( I do not like her family. )
Нам не нравится её комната. ( We do not like her room. )

The problem I have is that direct object of a negative verb is declined in the genitive. In the above sentences "her family" and "her room" are the subjects. Am I going in the right direction here? Any help is appreciated!

Мне не нравится её семья. - I do not like her family.
Нам не нравится её комната. - We do not like her room.
"Ваша" means "your," not "her." Besides this everything is ok.

    in the genitive
"Мне" and "нам" are the dative forms of the pronouns "я" and "мы." Did you mean the possessive pronoun "её"? If yes, read this quote:

Местоимения его, ее, их, по происхождению являющиеся формой родительного падежа личных местоимений он, она, они, имеют род и число, но не изменяются по падежам, хотя могут сочетаться с существительными в любом падеже: Он взял его книгу; Он подошел к его сестре; Он разговаривает с его сестрой.
My translation (I'll be grateful if someone provide us with a better one ):
The pronouns его, ее, их that are the genetive forms of the personal pronouns он, она, они by their origin have the gender and the number but don't decline, though they can be construed with nouns in any cases: Он взял его книгу; Он подошел к его сестре; Он разговаривает с его сестрой.

    P. S. "Ее" is just another spelling of "её."

Yes, here [s:mc62j8lw]ваша[/s:mc62j8lw] её семья and её комната are subjects.

Here are the lineal translations of that sentences:
Her family is not liked by me.
Her room is not liked by me.

It is no matter if verbs are negative or positive. But the direction is right.
"Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?
