извлекли (extracted, excavated)
выкопали, откопали (dug out, really funny and colloquial)
из-под земли две прекрасные скульптуры.
My pickiness tells me "извлекли" is a neat option.
Another month ends. All targets met. All systems working. All customers satisfied. All staff eagerly enthusiastic. All pigs fed and ready to fly.
it means from beneath, under something.
here you can also safely say извлекли из земли.
из-под implies there was something above the sculptures, ground mainly.
if it's из-под дома - it means 'from under the biuilding'.
Often из-под can be met in grave news of a such kind:
Из-под завалов в Турции спасатели извлекли 10-летнего мальчика -
Also figurative sense:
Автобус ушёл из-под носа = I haven't caught the bus.
