How dishonest. You could have at least told us beforehand that you wanted us to do your homework for you.

There is no such concept as "academic cheating" in Russia. I think it's about the same in Japan. Several of my Russian friends got caught "cheating" at different times and classes while in the U.S. but none of them knew that's called "cheating". In fact, it's called "homework help"

Yeah, I have no problem with helping, it's just that at first the guy's like "Hey, I was wondering if you knew what this means..."

Jackie is just doing what it takes to get what needs to be done.

There's no comparison man. Come on. A cotton gin and Russian homework. Are you just arguing with me for the fun of it? The point is you should at least tell people if they're actually going to end up doing your work for you. I thought it was a little message from his Russian e-pal or something.

Perhaps he didn't say it was for homework because he thought that some people may go into a looong debate about his intentions...

I just spent some time at community college. About 40 classes. I don't work well with others, but I did notice that in all classes Homework groups were encouraged-to the point of absurdity, so it might be in good form to have sought out the enlistment of such the qualified source as here. And professors tend to talk you through to the answers anyway, especially if you go into their office with the "help me I don't get it" pouty look . But on take home tests, no, the do it yourself rules apply.

So the ethical issue would really be (imo). Is this class/homework, or is this a test? And, Is there a rule that she (or Jackie Chan-I don't care the spelling is traditionally for girls, but then again, there ARE REALLY guys named Sally too) KNOWS she is breaking by asking here?

There are still, with all the relaxed rules and new liberal (actual learning, what a concept) teaching tactics, too many cheaters that ruin the purifyied learning expericence for the rest of us.

No, what I mean is you should say it up front, I don't really care if other people help this guy, but I hate helping people do homework, so I wouldn't have helped(I didn't help anyway, but you get the idea).
