I would argue that "nouns ending in a soft sign -ь don’t change in the Accusative".
It works for лошадь but not for конь.

Also I don't think that we should support those cabbies, who don't respect the rules. This business easily regresses to the wild state.

Can anybody explain, why doesn't лошадь change in accusative though it is a living thing? Are there may be more words like this?

Not so many feminine nouns ending in 'Ь' exist, I think:
рысь
мать
and alike
