    English-sounding words

Does anyone know any sites that list Russian words which look like English words and are spelled pretty much the same?

    For example водка, спорт, ect.

Or just words that are more recognisable than most like Телефон.

Unless someone's prepared to write a long list...

Oh, that one. It's an old russian game.
Typical litreball team consists of three players.
First they meet in some quiet place and send one of them for a drink. Usually its a one-litre bottle of vodka (0,5l for juniors), though in some quarters people prefer a port.
    Then they begin to drink.
After the bottle is finished they send for another one.
If the money runs out and the three are still can stand and talk - the team loses.
The last who can stand wins.

There are many local federations of litre-ball in Russia but still IOC refuses to recognize it as an olympic sport

There are also a measurement unit for litre-ball that can express an overall and specific intoxication of players. It is called "лигрыл". That's a shortening from "литр на градус на рыло". (l * % Alc. vol/ N), where N is a quantity of рыл.
Send me a PM if you need me.

There is no time constraint on drinking the bottle? How is the zakuski situation? Who is the referee? All these questions need to be answered before the IOC approves such a sport (also is it a winter olympic sport or a summer olympic sport? Though choice...)

There is a constaint on the drinking time - You should, no, You even must drink all the bottles before your mates have done it. Also it is every-year-sport, and you can start drinking at any convenient for you time (24 hours a day)!!! I think EOF ought to approve it as a national kindasport!!!
