Which case would this be in...

    Я еду домой by car.

Would that be in the instrumental case or the prepositional?

I'm not sure what case it is, but this is an exception with verbs of motion going home, specifically. You only use this when you are going домой, at least I can't think of another one like it.

    Here it is prepositional:
    Я еду домой в/на машине.
Here both prepositions are possible with some difference: "Я еду домой в машине" means more like "I am moving towards home inside the car", while "на машине" = "by car".

Where are you right now? - Где ты сейчас? - Я еду домой в машине.
How do you get home usually? - Как ты обычно добираешься домой? - Я езжу домой на машине.

Though sometimes in such constructions instrumental is also possible: "Я добираюсь домой автобусом." But на+Prepositional is preferable anyway.
"Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

I think the exception you speak about is word "домой" but Pippynip asked about translating "by car" as far as I understand.

"домой" is an adverb and can not take any case.

Yeah, I misunderstood what he was asking about. And I didn't realize домой was an adverb, good to know, thanks!

Нет, все это не работает. Автобусом, троллейбусом, трамваем, маршруткой, самолетом, вертолетом - ОК.

Может быть, творительный работает только для каких-то транспортных служб.

Хотя метро и такси - не работает. Но это, наверно, потому, что они несклоняемые. Если бы можно было говорить "метром" и "таксом", то работало бы. И если лодка регулярно ходит по какому-то маршруту, то можно и лодкой.

"Своим ходом" is also correct, that means "on foot". But you can't say only "ходом" =)
