"слышаю" is not correct.
"Я слышал" or "Я слышу".
(Or "я слушаю" - I'm listening)

'Блин' (pl. -блина) is a "cleaner" way of saying б(Edited. L.)ь. It literally 'means pancake'.

Oh, so слышать is -a stem? Would you believe I always thought слышу was just a slurring of слышаю

I can't underdstand what relation to the word "блин" the link has either. I've jsut watched the whole video and heard блин just the once. Hm... if you sift through the whole of youtube, you'll find so many videos containing this word that you'll probably have to think of opening a new section on the forum.

I'm not aware of any problem, I was wondering what it meant.

Ahh... Elementary, doctor MR! Sperk is just giving the link where he heard the mysterious word "блин" and was the whole basis of his original post.

"блин" in this case is just a conversation filler, not much to attract attention to.

I must have been in a hurry when I was listening to that video because then I heard 'блин' only one time. Yeah, I can tell what he says at the very end. Can you tell what he says through the rest of the conversation?

My question was whether you can understand the whole conversation or probably it's hard for you to get what they are saying.

I can get most of it, of course it is hard without the beginning

Why did he get the congratulations? Who came again? What old man? Etc.
