Здравствуйте, все! [Does that translate properly as "Hello, everyone!"
I would like to know the difference between Что такой? and Какой? When would I use one or the other?
Большое спасибо!

There is no "Что такой?" in Russian. You can say "что такое", and this is only a beginning of a sentence. For example:Originally Posted by Лука
Что такое снег? - What is snow? (a kid in Africa may ask)
or Что такое любовь? - What is love?
Какой may mean "what" or "which", or even "that", or maybe something else, depending on context.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.
I think I'm clearer now. Спасибо!
