I was just wondering why you refer to the little critter as a female rather than a male as Евгения called him. Is it a Russian thing? or just an oversight.

It's because "морская свинка" (a guinea-pig) is feminine in Russian.

Oh I see, pretty obvious wasn't it? I guess I am still reading Russian with English eyes.
It still seems funny to me that you must refer to something that is obviously male as a female. What if you specifically wanted to make the distinction between two guinea pigs? Such as:-
" I have two guinea pigs, a male and a female. The female wants to breed but he is not interested"

I realized I don't know how to say this in Russian:

She has cut her finger on a knife. She needs a bandaid.
She choked on a peice of bread.
    She fell down the stairs.
Vrei să pleci dar nu ma, nu ma iei
Nu ma, nu ma iei, nu ma, nu ma, nu ma iei

P.S.: Are you writing a script for some horror movie?

I would say it the following way:
У меня две морские свинки, мальчик и девочка. Девочка хочет размножаться, но мальчик ей не интерсуется. (In the second sentence you can actually replace мальчик and девочка with pronouns, though personally, I wouldn't do it)

Here is another example: У меня есть морская свинка, мальчик. Он очень любит ...
"Happy new year, happy new year
May we all have a vision now and then
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend"

Thanks, Denis! Actually, I just wanted to know how to say these incase I ever need to like when I see my mama. Or for an emergency.

He said that after you left me you never thought about me
    She hurt my feelings

    I overslept-
You are never tired at night, but in the morning you are- Ночью ты никогда не устала, а утром ?
If you don't go to sleep, you are going to be very tired.-
I am jetlagged(OR: I am not used to the time difference)-
