Translate an English Letter to Russian

Hi there! I need the help of an extravagant Russian translator. I need this letter translated from English to Russian. It's not too long Keep in mind, this is a female saying it to a male [just incase gender endings affect it in any way.] Your help is incredibly appreciated!

    Dear Nikita,

I can't thank you enough for the adorable gift you got me! I think of you everytime I look at him! I wish I could have gotten you something wonderful this year, but unfortunately I am running rather short on money. I hope your Christmas will be a most excellent one for you and your family!

    love always,

    Rissa

I pretty much know how to spell his and my name in Russian, it's the grammatical part that really gets me. I've been speaking Russian for maybe 5 months and I'm still somewhat bad.. I've tried instant translators, but--1. Most of it is used with the 'masculine' denomination; 2. The grammar is poor (hey! Just like mine! ). 3. It's not very reliable. Thanks again you guys!

Here's an attempt, although I'm still learning, so don't trust everything.

    Дорогой Никита
Я не могу благодарить достаточно тебе за прелестный подарок, который ты дал мне. Я мечаю о тебе каждый раз, что его вижу. Я надеюсь, что я могла купить что-то для тебя в этом годе, но к несчастью, у меня нет много денег. Я надеюсь, что твое рождество будет очень отлично для тебя и твоей семей.
    Целую,

I ordinarily wouldn't dream of doing this, but since you scored one less than I on that online Russian test, I thought I'd ask a few questions about your translation I might be wrong...

Я мечаю о тебе каждый раз, что его вижу
[since she said "look at him," would you want смотрю на него?]

в этом годе [I think you need в этом году since you're dealing with time]

и твоей семей [I believe it would be и твоей семьи]

Again, I might be wrong... also, I don't know, but maybe Risa wants to use the formal Вы?

This is very literal and may not sound proper in Russian. Maybe this would be better:
"Огромное спасибо за твой прелестный подарок."
Какая разница, умереть богатым или бедным?

Какой толк от богатства если ты не счастлив.

I think "your family" is supposed to be included in для.

Your right challenger. для is always followed by genitive.
    для твоей семей

I tried editing my post before you read it but I was too late.

    Edit. ARRRGGG "для твоей семьи"

У меня не хватает слов чтобы отблагодарить тебя за твой милый подарок! Я думаю о тебе каждый раз когда смотрю на него! Я бы хотела подарить тебе что-нибудь замечательное в этом году, но к сожалению мои деньги на исходе. Я надеюсь, что это Рождество будет самым прекрасным для тебя и твоей семьи!

    Люблю,

Yeah, go with MikeM's, but can you translate "I hope it will be most joyful" as самым прекрасным? In English here most basically just means very.
