    Song...I don't trust the subtitles

    The Shooting Star (a Russian song with English subtitles). - YouTube

    Can anyone help me see how close are the subtitles to what is being said? I personally feel it awfully distorts the song...

    If so, I'd appreciate if anyone could show them how to do it right.

    You are right, the subs are close sometimes, but in general they are incorrect. Some sentences are totally wrong.

    these subtitles aren't a translation but adaptation therefore they're inadequate for studying the Russian lyrics of the song
