    Simple translation to English

    What does the following mean?
    У тебя отлично получается.

    I am guessing that it means "you doing very well", but should not it be written "Ты отлично получаешься"?

    "you are doing it very well".

    "Ты отлично получаешься" makes no sense (although... If an artist is drawing your portrait, and one of your friends sees the portrait, he can say "ты отлично получаешься" meaning the portrait and yourself in the portrait seem to come very good).
    In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    I think I could think off some examples where the phrase "Ты отлично получаешься" would not sound ridiculous.

    Например, Папа Карло мог говорить так Буратино

    Olya said that it would be appropriate to say so for a painter drawing your portrait, commenting that you're looking good on it But it still sounds strange.
