A poem, but I4m missing the 'music'

    HI,
Can someone help me with a better, more fluid translation of this poem? I believe it's quite well known:

    31 desembre 1915 Peterbourg
    Marina Cvetaeva

I'm having particular trouble with the word "любый"

    Thanks!

любый is nothing but an ahem...archaic form of любимый...or a poetic form

She used it because it fits more to the rhythm.

    like words зимою and зимой

"Любый" here means "nice, pleasant", while the modern word "любимый" means 'favourite' or "beloved".

I'm still confused in context, and it doesn't flow in English!
    French will do also!
