M: «I remember very well when I first came here during some big tour. It was the 20th concert, I think. May be even twenty-something. In one interview, I just forgot what the town's name was. It was horrible! And I am trying to remember... not sure where I was yesterday, where will be tomorrow. And then, someone told me: this is Ryazan'. And now I can never forget what Ryazan' is... of course I remember the audience well. And whenever my manager's tell me that we are going there, I go: «Oh, Ryazan!» I remember, of course. I'll never forget, I think.

R: Marina, we all know that this concert is for charity. How do you look at charity yourself, and why did you decide to give the money to a religious (Pravoslavnaya) school?

M: Well, because... It doesn't matter who... if someone is asking for help I try to do whatever is possible. With concert or some other type of help. But whatever is in my power, basically. Not necessarily in the name of religion. I believe in God, but cannot say that I turned orthodox completely and that I follow all the rules and traditions. No, I am not completely sinless. But whenever I see that someone wants to teach children how to live righteously, the Ten Commandments, and if they need help, I will, of course, give it to them.

R: Marina, we also know that recently you had a wedding, another important step for you. What do you think? Will life change for you after this step?

M: I belive that it is everchanging, for the better, of course. It was always good really, we didn't really worry too much about our «relationships», about who will do what, about who is responsible for what, and so on. Everything is really straight-forward between us. We don't see each other that often in the first place. Probably that's why we miss each other all the time.

The wedding is, in my opinon, a very basic thing, an event that must happen... it's like eating, I think, it should be like a need for your body, for your whole being. I think it's not like you "came to realizaion", it's normal.

R: Will your concert schedule change in the near future? Are there new plans, new concerts, new songs?

M: We have a new concert, of course; new CD keeping in mind my new occupation of a mother and a «wife» -- terrible word – nevertheless we are making new album... recorded it, and just putting finishing touches, getting ready for its birth. It's the same for me as a birth of a child, really, I am just as nervous. It has a rather strange title «Loner». It's about this good heart-felt feeling, very joyful, not about loneliness, about sorrow; but on the contrary about this happy light blissful feeling of content. Well, you'll hear it soon. There are, of course tearful songs along with very positive music, you'll hear.

R: Now the last question. In your songs you sing about love, tears, sorrow, but what would you like to teach... since your audience is made up mostly of children, teenagers... what do you want to teach them?

M: My main purpose is to make it so that people grow and go to the concerts, adults as well. That's my main purpose. So they wouldn't do drugs and alcohol. Going to the concerts is very uplifting and relaxing. I mean the real live music, not where they mime to a recording, but when the concerts are real and you feel performer has good attitude towards music. You feel a good social atmosphere, and it is truly a gift. And my goal so that people go out, not just on my concerts, but on concerts in general.

Я верю, что она в принципе меняется даже обязательно в лучшую сторону.

тем не менее да пишется сейчас новый альбом
– nevertheless we are making new album...

Моя основная задача сделать так чтобы

Это моя самая основная задача

Что бы они не занимались какой то ерундой, алкоголем, наркотиками...
So they wouldn't do drugs and alcohol.
И каким то не правильным образом жизни
and just a wrong way of life
ходить на концерты это очень весело
Going to the concerts is very uplifting
это очень расслабляет
and relaxing.
на хорошие живые концерты
I mean the real live music,

Заморачиваться чем-либо (насчёт чего-либо, по поводу чего-либо)- to worry, to care about something.
Фанера- сленг фонограмма - canned music.

«Росли» — это глагол, если ты это спрашиваешь (that people grow, как и написано в переводе). Я думаю, она имела в виду личностный рост.

Вряд ли. Если только она с 5 лет не говорит на русском (что явно не так), то такую ошибку сделать трудно. Тут "росли" означает "grow", но в записи там предложение обрывается и начинается новое-

"...задача сделать так чтобы люди росли.... Да и взрослые люди тоже, ходили на концерты."

Видимо она хотела сначала сказать что-то одно, но потом передумала.

Да, это все-таки спонтанная речь, кроме того, она после вопроса журналистки задумалась, так что неудивительно, что ответ был немного сбивчивым. Кстати, в этом интервью много слов, которые можно выкинуть без ущерба для смысла (и это хорошо, что есть что убрать, в субтитрах часто приходится что-то урезать, чтобы текст помещался на экране и чтобы его можно было успеть прочесть).

Моя основная задача — сделать так, чтобы люди [о которых вы спросили, т. е. "дети, подростки, молодежь"] росли, да и взрослые, что уж там, и ходили на концерты.

Я поняла это так:
"What would you like to teach young people by your songs?"
"I would like young people, well, not only young people but adults too, I want them to grow, to go to my concerts instead of taking drugs etc."
