--Mash, it's great to see you in Moscow. I know many people have been dreaming of this. We expect to see you but then something always comes up, your shoulder, or something else right?
--Yes. This time it was quite unexpected that they would ask me to play. Unfortunately I was at the docter's after the slam and he said I couldn't serve for three weeks. So, it's like I can't play again, though at the beginning of the year I said that if I lead the team to the finals, with Russia then I would...but it would be hard to just go out and play the final because the other girls got there without me.
--Nevertheless I know they would really like it because...well anyway, we're proud of you and hope we'll get a medal at the olympics.
--Definately, first we have to win Fed Cup. After that I hope we can win a gold at the olympics.
--Will you go to Sochi?
--I would like to but I don't know because my training is strict, I'm trying to get over some injuries as fast as I can. I hope to be able to serve in 10 days.
-Did you forget the US Open already?
--It's already in the distant past. Of course it was tough the next day because I thought I was in good shape and my form was good and I was playing well and...
--Crazy
--Exactly, but it happens sometimes, maybe I was even a little too ready and that got in the way.
--Aren't you cold here after New York?
--No, not at all, it's so fresh here, the air is nice and the forest behind us, it's great, really nice.
--What have you been doing since you got here?
--Beyond training I didn't see anything. I came with a girlfriend, brought her specially because she's never been to Moscow, never was in Russia, so I hope to show her the Kremlin, Red Square, maybe go to a museum, the theater, but we only have a few days, so I'm pretty busy.
--At the men's final literally everyone's asking what's Masha doing in the box? Cheering for Novak?
- Yes, as a friend
- I'm not a tabloid reporter but I had to ask.
--It's alright, I was cheering a friend. He asked me and I came. It was Fashion Week and I was doing a couple of shows and it happened that the show was in the morning and the final in the afternoon and he asked me if I wanted to come so I did. It was great because I never get to see that level of tennis, especially a USO final, as a fan. So it was just great.
--His parody of you was great, I would be happy if he did a parody of me.
--It turned out very funny...(the rest is unclear to me.)
--One last question, any chance of seeing you on the court?
--As a player no, because I haven't served since the USO, only trained, only began training the day yesterday, so no, no chance. Only as a big fan.
--Can cheering help you, when you feel the emotions.
--It might, you know, looking at the atmosphere, being a part of the atmosphere and I think that might help me a bit in my next match when...
