1-when your people(plural) demonstrate , they don't against you in person but against corruption , poverty , injustice , racism and mistreatment which means they have demands so you have to listen to your people . is it ok if i use "народи "or "люди" in this sentence

Когда ваш (твой) народ протестует - он выступает не против вас (тебя) лично, но против коррупции, нищеты, расизма и хамства, а значит, у них есть требования, к которым вы (ты) должны (должен) прислушаться.
