Thread: How to translate "I'm worried about him"?

I recently posted on another forum, saying that the correct translation is:

я беспокоюсь за него.

Then someone else posted, saying this is absolutely wrong and you have to say

я вольнуюсь за него.

But for me, both of these phrases seem totally equivalent, and the first sounds more normal. And there is also я переживаю за него. What is the difference between these sentences?

All of these are equivalent.

For me all of these sentences does sound absolutely normal in this translation. And I see no significant differences in them.

Тоже правильно сказать: "я беспокоюсь о нём"?
