Hi, i've got to do a presentation about my mother and would really appreicate a bit of help translating some English into Russian! There are a few things i'm a bit unsure of! I would be so grateful for any help!

1. She likes her job and is always thinking of new ways to teach her pupils. She often plays her accordian in school and sings songs in French. Her pupils love her because she is kind, patient and fun!

2. My mum has had a varied and exciting life. When she finished studying French and Italian at Leeds University she hitch-hiked around Europe. She travelled to many countries before settling in France. She was very poor and lived in a slum without hot water or heating. She did not eat desert for eight years so she could save up to buy a house! But, she didn't mind because she had amazing friends.

3. Eventually, she returned to England and married my dad, Robert. They were married for 20 years but are now divorced. They had 3 children, myself, my brother and my sister.

4. We had lots of fun with mum during our childhood because she never minded if we made a mess or were noisy. We were allowed to dig holes in the garden and do lots of artwork! She also took us to visit interesting sights like castles and museums. She always encouraged us to focus on what we enjoyed. Myself and my siblings have grown up into individual people with different interests and talents.

5. My mum is a calm and liberal person. She enjoys working in the garden and doing home improvements. She is good at using drills, saws and hammers! Her main love, however, is poetry. She attends two poetry groups every week and is always writing. She writes about life, love, and various other topics. She has been highly commended in several prestigious poetry competitions. She dreams that one day she will have time to write a novel.

6. I have an excellent relationship with my mother and speak to her often. I hope that when i become a mother, i will give my children the fantastic upbringing that i have been lucky enough to receive.

If anyone could help me with this i'd be eternally grateful! I've written a rough version but i'm pretty sure i've made a few mistakes! Unfortunately i don't know any native Russian speakers to help me!

Thank you, Sylvia
