Thread: Help with a sentence, please?

I had a friend from Russia who I chatted with in MSN. We lost touch and each of us removed eachother from our contact list. We talked again in another forum yesterday, and I asked my friend if I can send him some funny video clips via MSN. He said ok, and would put me on his list again.

He sent me this message when he added me:

меня давай в другой раз

When I translate that, it sounds like "give me another time [chance]", but it is not like we ever had a fight or something. I am thinking that maybe he thought I would be online, but since I was not, he was saying "send me [the clips] another time".

Any thoughts from the context I mentioned?

Means "You can give me the videos another time"

Strange that he would say меня, though.

Ahhhh, ok that makes sense. would the sentence still be ok if he did not have the "menya" there? I am wondering if he started to type something else, and forgot to erase that word.

No, he would of wanted to use the dative form of "me": мне and not the accusative: меня
But in MSN anything is allowed, grammar comes second!
