Thread: A little help with a few sentences.

I hope it isn't much trouble , Here I have a list of sentences I need help being interpreted in Russian,
It would greatly help if you could just throw in as many various possible constructions/variants as possible if you know some right from the top of your heads.

1- I wish I could go back, and turn back time (to where/when...)
2- It doesn't matter, I can handle it. I've gone through worse.
3- There hasn't been a single... (day/person..etc)
4- I said it once, and I'll say it again...
5- Don't make me repeat what I said!
6- I haven't had enough sleep last night.
7- It feels good to...
8- Oh for crying out loud!
9- For the love of god will you just...!
10- I'm on fire! (To keep doing something successfully, to keep winning)
11- I'm just taking shots in the dark (Guessing)
12- That's more than anybody can say right now.

Thanks to all who'd reply, I'd be greatly indebted.

Thanks that certainly helped indeed, just let me explain the ones you didn't get,

8- Is an interjection of annoyance. Synonymous with "Oh for the love of god!" or "Oh for gods sake!"
12- Is said when no one has any better advice up their sleeves, except for something typical, obvious and basic.
here's an example,

Person A: "My friend hates me, what should I do...?"
Person B: "Just go up to him and apologize, that's more than anybody can say right now...?"

I have a few questions about your translation,

Can we say this... Если б можно было повернуть время вспять когда....

I'm dubious about this one though "Было бы неплохо", to me it sort of sounds more like "It's alright to... ", "It's ok to..."
I don't know if it lives up to the variant I provided, which is "It feels good to..."
It might make things easier if I give examples

"It feels good to apologize"
"It feels good to help others" (With respect to moral principles, clearing ones conscience)
"It feels good to vent" (Getting things of their chest feels good emotionally)

Then it will be "Боже мой!" or in more expressive way (but totally decorous) "Да боже ж ты мой!!!" and other variants like " Да господи ж ты боже мой!" More offten we use other constractions like "Какого черта (you can place here х.. words but it would be rude)..." For example "Какого черта ты делаешь?!" - What the hell re you doing?!"

Person A: "My friend hates me, what should I do...?"

I would translate this dialog this way:

Первый: Мой друг меня ненавидит, что мне делать?
Второй: Просто извинись, ничего другого не остается (or тут ничего лучше не придумаешь)

I think we need a real example here, like "Если б можно было повернуть время вспять, я бы прожил жизнь по-другому"

I'm dubious about this one though "Было бы неплохо", to me it sort of sounds more like "It's alright to... ", "It's ok to..."

"Было бы неплохо" = "It would be great " (almost literally)

"It feels good to apologize"

when you apologized and feel better because of it then you can say "Извинился, - и на душе полегчало!" and when you are thinking about may be you should to apologize then it will be "Неплохо бы (надо бы) извиниться"

"It feels good to help others" (With respect to moral principles, clearing ones conscience)

the most direct interpretation may be "Помогать людям - это правильно!" Some preacher would say "Помогая другим, очищаешь свою душу!"

"It feels good to vent" (Getting things of their chest feels good emotionally)

Well, there is national mentality involved here. So we have no similar construction (short and clear) and it must be either direct translation "Выговорись, и почувствуешь себя лучше" or old fashioned phrase "Облегчить душу" which came from religious ritual but often is used in everyday life. Ok, not very often, rather rarely, I'd say Like "Расскажи мне, что у тебя стряслось, облегчи душу" I don't like this Better use first variant: "Расскажи мне, что у тебя стряслось, не держи это в себе, тебе надо выговорится" - that's what we usually say in such situations. But more common practice is simply

It is the Jack O'Neil’s, one of my favorite Stargate SG-1 characters’ pet phrase, just an alternative for saying "for Christ's sake", used instead of it, according to the strange Christians’ belief, to avoid uttering God’s name in vain.
