    brain is out of order

    мозги отключились!

    Is this the correct translation?
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

Well, if you just realized that your brain wasn't working properly, then yes. Your translation seems a perfect fit.

If it's been the case for a while now, then it's better to say:

мозги не работают - мозг не работает. And a bit of a idiomatic expression for you:

    Голова (башка) не варит

Also you can replace мозги with голова or башка (a bit rude) in all examples above.

I do not claim that my opinion is absolutely true.
If you've spotted any mistake in my English, please, correct it. I want to be aware of any mistakes to efficiently eliminate them before they become a habit.

How it would be: I want to clean my head from all thoughts.

(Мне) хочется выкинуть все мысли из головы or (Я) хочу... It's better to not use я or мне, to my tastes at least. I also think you can substitute выкинуть with выбросить, the first is probably more common though.
