На следующей неделе я встретил эти выражения, которые не мог перевести:

1. Can you please complete this life insurance application. What I said: Можете ли Вы заполнить этот бланк для страхования жизни?
2. If you want to apply for a subsidy you should complete this application form = Чтобы получить субсидию европейского союза вам необходимо заполнить этот бланк

Как вы заметили я избежал эти слова, употреблявший другие словa, как заполнить и бланк .

Application here is "ЗАЯВЛЕНИЕ".

application form - бланк заявления.

бланк заявления на страхование жизни, заполнить заявление на получение субсидии ("бланк" can be skipped I believe)

The verb заявлять has the meaning of apply?

Actually it means "to state, to announce, to declare". So "заявление" means any declaration (with legal consequences). One of the particular meanings is application.

Actually, it depends on what you really mean. If you're talking about to complete an application, then "заполнить заявление", it means to write there your name and other information. If you're talking about submitting an application to some institution, then "подать заявление".

And yes, the word "бланк" can be omitted.

But you can't use "заявлять" as "to complete" or "to apply", they have different meanings.

I would like to ask for an additional meaning of the word: apply and some other relative expressions.
1. This method can be applied in two cases.
2. This process is not valid in this case (Correct my English also).
3. This rule will be/get (?) in force after two months (Correct my English also)

1. Этот метод можно применять (использовать) в двух случаях.
2. В данном случае этот метод неприменим. (не подходит/не годится)
3. Это правило вступит в силу (вступит в действие) через два месяца.

I don't feel myself good enough in English to correct.
