God granted me the serenity to accept the things
I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And wisdom to know the difference
Sorry. I didn't make it clear. I am trying to translate the Russian sentence into English. The Russian is the original. So my English sentence is what needs checking.
What is a sister of charity if it's not a nun?
I said "easily" to compensate for the sense of вполне
Thanks
My English is too bad for checking your translation up in this language... But a sister of charity is a really nun as far as I know . For my humble sight, I see no serious mistakes in this translation way...Originally Posted by Mandy

Thanks Scrabus for your humble opinion. It was difficult to translate.
"Easily" is fine here.Originally Posted by Mandy
"Сестра милосердия" is an outdated phrase meaning a (hospital) nurse. Nowadays, we just say "сестра". By the way, it is totally official job title. "Старшая сестра" is a head nurse.
Thanks translations.nm.ru.
I did wonder if sister could mean a nurse because nurses here were "sisters" too.
