It will last until everyone in the world will know that "зимою" is "зимой". I am trying to get at you and use simpler explanations. Myabe someone else will make it clearer...

Yes, it's all right. Архаический sounds to me not good nevertheless. I'd say архаичный. But they mean the same.

Архаическою is more popular there!
