You forgot about Ufa. There is also a metro system under construction now in Omsk (they plan to open it in 2010) and a light metro line in Volgograd.

Well, it's time to meet metro in Omsk!

In fact, I am hearing about the launch of metro in Omsk since soon after my birth. No one knows how many billions are buried in the ground. They periodically lose the interest to currently acknowledged scheme and start to dig in new directions.

My opinion is :
1) We will never obtain metro system
2) We don't need it
