Oh boy. You had to endure the whole week in that awfull russian appartament!!

Now you must be happy to come back home to nice condos and trailers of hight US standards.

it seems you're trying to start some sort of argument with me...
my point is that for some people life in russian is not great.
Did you even understand what I wrote?
Well, I did get the idea. I just didn't understand the description.
The reason for relocation is different imho. Because I know people who moved there and left good appartament for ugly trailer.

I think people relocate to western world because there they feel safe and stable. And there they can get food and roof over their heads just doing nothing.

But good point is that you love your country like I do. We just only need to be objective imho

For every American life in the USA is great, eh?
no, not at all. It was just an example. Most americans are in debt, it's not a paradise.

good idea! The US has many problems, I could spend all night typing them but I'm too tired. If the US was perfect I wouldn't be interested in Russia!

Not even close. America has a very very very large poverty problem~ the situation I grew up in and am debting my way through uni trying to escape from. Living far under the "poverty line" of any country you live in can be very terrible... but I personally think it is worse when you live in a rich country like the US with no socialized medicine(among other things). You see how great life in this country can be everyday~then you go home to a run down place, barely holding it together with stop-gaps like tape and eating bread that was given to your family by your church because they know youre poor(bread with mold on it at that).

America is a horrid place to live if you are stuck on the bottom. Especially when you use credit to cover the bills~~and then the bill collectors wont leave you alone calling 24/7 and mailing you and even sueing you eventually... We would all be a lot better off without Credit.

I don't mean all the problems.
I just used to live in those ugly condos in connecticut (with crazy land lord's restrictions and rules) and I know people who live in those "mobile homes" when they don't turn air condition on to save money for electricity.
So I'm now happy to live in an appartament in russia with central heating and central water (hot and cold) supply.

Yeah. It starts the same way here. Banks in their adds say that you'll be a happiest person in the world if you make a loan. But then it turns into a pain.

yes, life can suck for some, especially if you don't have money. I'm glad you have a nice place now. I never thought of Siberia as having those kinds of apts, now I'm less ignorant! I only thought of tundra, COLD , snow...

Apparently, it's not. The public transportation is a much better place for appreciating any literature than a personal car, which you have to drive Russian subway used to look like a library branch in 70s... Nowadays people read less, but it's for a different reason...

The only way to see if you really like Russia is to live there for a year (or untill you can't take it anymore ). i've been here for 3 years and there are days when I refuse to speak Russian, get out my stash of Skippy pnutbutter and swear I'm getting on the next plane out of here. But most of the time I can't imagine living anywhere else.
Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.

I think that people who immigrate from russia and sayint that it complete hole and nightmare are just sick and very special-type. I live here all my life and very fond of staying here. I'v been in several western european and asian countries and the life style in my oun country, at least for me, seems me the best.
Please, correct my mistakes, except for the cases I misspell something on purpose!

My hunch is that he's not just selling "pizza" or that "pizza" is a code-word for something else...

Я думал, что все жители Южно-Африканской Республики хотели покидать свою страну и переехать в Новую Зеландию. Здесь так и кажется...

Russians are everywhere, even in Lebanon and maybe even in Chad.

    хотели покинуть свою страну
