That's not true.
I don't think all of Russia is dangerous. Maybe it's MORE dangerous than other places. It's not Switzerland. I think away from the Caucasus it's fine. Like my university lets us...
None. But the point is that it's in a region that has, and continues to, experienced quite a bit of turmoil and violent hostilities...it's the same reason you don't go to certain parts of some US...
The CIS is a huge area and has hundreds of flights everyday. In the past safety has been questionable.
You can't really generalise the whole area. On international flights into Europe and such...
