So... in в этом году you get это in the prepositional case (hope that's the correct English term), but год is accusative, like in в этот момент, only in that one both words are in the accusative?

I thought that could be it, but my Russian manual wasn't that very explicit about the negative stuff. Thanks!
These are really simple questions, but I'd be very glad if someone could explain the usage of these cases.
Why is the genitive case used for "...не понимаю её вопроса"? Or is it plural ackusative...
