It is very likely that it's the style of author, and for rhyme he used this word. Also "морщь" can mean the short from of "морщинистый" (wrinkled), "морщина" (wrinkly).

Maybe you made a mistake when wrote it, because in this fragment we can use only "мощь" (it means "мощь" - сила, могущество (strength, power).
Moreover in Russian language the word "морщь" doesn't...
