There definitely is. I'm just not sure if he meant it literally or not. It's possible to play with someone's rules, e.g. you were physically rearranging them or not following them in a joking manner....

It would be "I am not playing with anyone's rules." instead. I'm not sure if that changes the Russian translation. My guess is that it does not.
