Hello everyone and thank you for letting me join your forum.

My name is Sala and I'm from Detroit, MI USA. Yes, I work for an American automobile manufacturer and like the musical group Journey sings, I was "born and raised in south Detroit." The Motor City is the birthplace of the 'assembly line,' muscle cars,' and produces millions of pick-up trucks yearly. I am an absolute beginner learning Russian (ironically) in my car while driving to work on I-75, a large hi-way and part of the US interstate system running north and south from Michigan to Florida. The local Detroit street '8 Mile' was made famous by Detroit rapper Eminem and separates the 'good' part of the city from the 'bad.' (No I don't know him but I am sure he now lives north of 8 Mile.)

I'm here to make some friends, improve my Russian and learn more about new places in the world. Feel free to correct my Russian when I am more able to write it and hopefully I will soon learn more of this beautiful language.
