Thread: Picture Translation

Can somebody tell me exactly how this translates? I get the general gist of it (The Muscovites are sending the Ukrainians some "gas-free" champagne -- har-har), but don't understand it word-for-word. Also, does цi in Ukrainian (as well as це perhaps?) just mean "it?"

No, this is Ukraine's own Champagne. Not sent from Moscow.

це = это
ці = эти

And let those cursed Russians choke on their gas.

москаль = musovite, but colloquially for 'Russian'. I think it mat be derogatory.

Поперхнуться is not the modern Ukrainian word for 'to choke' rather a russification.

The Ukrainian is Задушити or Засмір... I forget how it ends.
