Hi!
In short:
I'm looking for native english speakers who would like to practice their Russian by writing letters. I wouldn't like to feed spammers by posting my email here, so please send me PM if you are interested in practicing that way.
In details:
I've already sent some "Hello! If you are still interested..." letters to those who created topics like this one here. But no one answered Maybe they didn't answer because they had already found people to talk with. Anyway, it was so strange that I've decided to open my own topic which you are reading now and then answer *all the* incoming messages as they come. I've got enough free time on evenings to spend writing in English.
My name is Sergey, I'm a 22 year-old programmer, living in Moscow. I'm a native Russian speaker who would like to know English and can help someone to learn Russian.
I've been looking for penpals since I first saw the translation of this word in my dictionary (actually, that was 3 days ago), but I've often wanted to make my practice more real Writing bug-reports is cool, but nothing makes your language skills better as a good discussion does.
"Make it Work, Then Make it Fast". That is how good programmers make their programms. That is how I'm trying to improve my language skills: I started from reading technical books, then I started to write simple letters and now I'm trying to listen podcasts. And I've already listen some ones made by BBC.
Another great rule would be "One day - one big letter". That is rule I have been trying to use since I started to write in English, and it never tricked me.
Now I had better stop writing and start waiting your PMs =)
Good bye!

P.S. This letter may seem full of dispensable information, but it must tell more about me.
