I will add. I only know english, I did learn a little bit of German.
I just started learning Russian. I'm using the rosseta stone program which basically teaches with pictures. I'm waiting for a english russian dictionary which would help me a lot. Eventually I will try learning with books, but I like the program since they teach with sounds same with pictures, it helps me remember easier.
