Thread: Looking for native Russian speaker...

My name is Mathieu, I'm 19, and from the United States, the Russian I know is self taught so I have almost no knowledge besides knowing a few words, phrases, and the Cyrillic Alphabet (I do sometimes forget letters... ) I am on the computer almost always, so time difference should not really be a problem. I seem to move around a lot, I am in Virginia, but moving to Alaska in January. I plan on taking a trip to Russia in 2011, So I hope to learn at least a beginner's knowledge by then.. I also know Latin, and I was in advanced placement, and Honours English in secondary school, So I can help you with English. When I saw the thread title, before reading the post itself, I thought you are not an English native speaker since in my opinion the correct phrase should be, "Looking for a native Russian speaker..."

Is it just a typo, or is it normal 'non-academic' English maybe?
