    спокойно

Как сказать по-английски "Спокойно!" в смысле "только без паники!" (~please no panic) или ~"давайте сохраним спокойствие и спокойно всё обдумаем"?
Quiet значит просто "тихо!" или так можно сказать и в смысле "please no panic"?
Есть еще "calm down", но это значит что-то вроде "Успокойся", то есть значит, что человек уже паникует, и его просят успокоиться?
А если сказать "Be calm" (по-моему, не звучит)?.. А?
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    Perhaps "Don't worry!"

    I would have thought that's "Don't panic!"

Quiet значит только "Тихо!" или "Спокойно!" тоже?

How about: "Take it easy" or "Easy, now."

Хорошо. Это разговорно, конечно, но в принципе то же что "Take it easy." Обычно употербляется, чтобы успокоить человека или животное (например: конь), который чрезмерно возбуждается или волнуется, либо в действии либо в мыслях. Тоже можно когда субъект сердитый или злой по каким-либо причинам.

Можно также использовать "easy, now" в любой ситуации когда тебе кажется, что кто-нибудь проступил какой-то предел.

    Значение зависит от контекста

    My try:

calm down - if people started to panic
keep calm - if they didnt start but are ready to start

    What if I say:

    - So. We have lost our money, our documents, our car keys and our clothes. Quiet, just quiet. We'll find all of them right now.

Is "Quiet, just quiet" ok in this context?

I think "Don't panic" would be the best choice here.

I don't know about the Russian. But I hear this related English verb often, and sometimes people just say "chill":

    chill out (v)
Synonyms: calm down, take it easy, stop worrying
Synonyms: loosen up, lighten up, rest, kick back, unwind, relax

    Main Entry: chill out

Yeah I thought about chill(out) too but it's like calm down is said when people already started worring/panicking and Оля wanted a phrase for people who didn't start to worry/panic yet.

Thank you, Ken, but my English is not so fantastic as I could read and understand all these wise citations and links. I just gave an example and I'd like to get at least a very simple answer: 'yes' or 'no'... Or an advice: 'use the verb XXX in this situation'.

По-моему, это звучит плохо, особенно в письменной форме. Впрочем, в речи возможно, хотя, может быть, не соответствует оригинальному предложению.

Кстати, 'спокойно' может переводится также как 'relax'.

OK, sorry, I'll stop doing that. However I wrote my earlier post while you were writing your last question, so I was not answering that question.

So, turning to that question, Оля wrote:

No, but you can fix it --> Quiet, just be quiet. Let me think. Let's retrace our steps. We'll find all of them . . .

    Thank you all very much.

(Кстати, нет ли ошибок в этой фразе?)

Мне почему-то кажется, что должно быть: "Thank to all very much". Но это лишь imho-). Или просто: "Big thank to all"
P.S. Судя по гуглу твой вариант правильнее

    Прекрасно сказано.

    Ошибок нет.
