мне нужно помочь с заданием: написать письмо не очень большое по объему. Начало уже дано:
Dear Jane,
I thought I could just come to America and work, but i found out it wasn't all that simple.....

А, ну это как письмо, которое Шaрик с Матроскиным писали за Дядю Фёдора из Простоквашина - лапы ломит, хвост отваливается и пр.

I thought I could just come to America and work, but i found out it wasn't all that simple.....I have been told that I can't gather strawberies because of lack of both hands, right eye and left leg. I am deeply surprized.



I think everyone should help you by one phrase and your letter will be done!

"Suprised"! I don't think even the Americans spell it with a 'z'.

And I'm not surprised - I am not American and wrote it with z

It's not entirely clear to me what he wants. I understood most of what he said, ran it through a translator (didn't know "помочь с заданием" or "объему") and don't actually see a question anywhere.

Я думал, что я просто мог бы переехать в Америку для того, чтобы работать, но получилось, что, в действительности, не так легко так делать...

не так легко так делать => не так то легко это сделать / сделать это не так то и легко / это не так то легко / это не так то и легко

Помочь с заданием = помочь выполнить задание (to help him accomplish a task)
Объему = размеру (количеству предложений или слов)

Yeah, but what's the letter meant to say? Surely he doesn't need help writing a load of perculiar incoherent jibberish?
