Not just that, but I think that "the business end" sort of implies that it is YOU who will be the target of the anger. The phrase "the business end of <something>" frequently occurs in expressions like "the business end of a gun" (its barrel), "the business end of a hammer" (the part that actually does the striking), etc. There are also many jocular expressions, often coined on the fly, like "the business end of a viper" etc. The phase "to stair/look at/down the business end of a gun" is actually a cliché, meaning that someone is aiming their gun at you.

That explains the joke. They changed a gun to a hissy fit.

There should be something like Another word and in front of your you’d be staring at the business end of a hissy fit.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/ is a very useful instrument in solving that kind of problems. Here’s what it says of hissy fit:
Noun. A sudden outburst of temper often used to describe female anger at something trivial. Originally regional from American South. Thought to originate from contraction of "hysterical fit."
business end of something is рабочий орган чего-либо. Боёк молотка, полотно ножовки, дуло пистолета, конец, в конце концов (да простят меня барышни).
Так что можно предложить такой вариант: (Ещё слово и)... ты бы оказался в эпицентре взрыва неоправданного (женского) негодования
