Thread: What do you call 'сканворд' in English?

Crossword. I suppose this "скан" part refers to Scandinavia? In German we call these Kreuzworträtsel (crossword puzzle) or Schwedenrätsel (Swedish puzzle).

I've been finding it on Google entering these questions (crossword and crossword puzzle), but, unfortunately, all I've found is classical crosswords.

I believe it's called "Arrowwords" (or arrowword puzzles). I've seen a phrase "Scandinavian crossword" a few times too, but I think it was a direct translation from other languages, in which this name is common (like Russian ).
