My name is Alex, I'm from Russia and I write my degree work. I need to make an associative experiment. The theme is “National specificity of abstract concepts in English”.

The task of the experiment is to show a field of associations of the given concept in current English language. There are some questions below. Answer several questions, which are written below, please. Or your may send privat message to me.

    The questions:

    1. Please, write your gender, age, occupation and country.
    2. Please, give your first 5-7 associations to the word BELIEF
    3. Please, give about 5-7 adjectives, connected with the word BELIEF
    4. Please, give about 5-7 verbs, connected with the word BELIEF
    5. Give a metaphor, comparison or phraseological units (idioms) connected with the word BELIEF
    6. What is BELIEF actually?

I would be very glad, if you take part in the experiment!
    Thank You,
    Alex.
