    Audio texts exchange proposal

Is there a site in the Internet where one can download some simple texts in English, read by British narrators (like fairy tales or something like that)? If there isn't, I can offer you the following exchange: if some of you is prepared to record some texts at home and send them to me, I could record a text of your choice and send it to you (and -- YES! -- i am a professional narrator).
    Thank you in advance.

Must it be a British accent?
    Will an American accent suffice?

    a British accent

You may find this link interesting: http://www.bbc.co.uk/voices/recordings/index.shtml - you get a map and can listen to voices of the British Isles. Have a listen to Kev Duke or Laurence Westgaph or Stuart Richardson. Interseting.

Thanks to you all. I will visit the link you have given, however, i need the texts for teaching purposes on the very "beginner's" level, and i dont think the BBC texts will do. What i need is some fairy tales for children. But I promice texts of any level of complexity in return.

By the way, if you ARE interested in this form of cooperation, feel free to write to my personal message box. And if you want to hear a sample of my reading, here is where to click

Thanks for the good words about my narration. As for the text, i will have to look for it, but on another computer. But, if my narration is clear, why do you need the text? And it is not the full version of the text.
I will have the chance to look for it on Tuesday.
    And thanks for the links.

For some reasons, I cannot open www.britishcouncil.org. I've found lots of links to it, but none of them worked. I hope it is not a permanent error in my network or computer.

There's a period at the end of your link and that's why you can't open it.

You need to have Realplayer installed to be able to read these files.

Use UCF's Real7ime Converter to download it in wav or mp3 format.
