Thread: Anomalous Material

Please, help me understand the meaning of "anomalous material" phrase. Does it mean that this is some kind of chemical compounds that make a new, artificial material that doesn't exist as a natural phenomenon?

I think it would depend on the context, but in general Id take this to mean a material which deviates from what is standard or normal, be it natural or otherwise.

I reckon Ezri is correct here! Something that is "out of the usual" relative to the given subject.

We have the analogues of "anomaly" ("аномалия") and "anomalous" ("аномальный") in Russian.
I guess Rtyom is being inquisitive here and wants to know exactly in what way that material is anomalous
