    выгодно толкнуть

Можно ли как-нибудь сказать по-английски "выгодно толкнуть" - чтобы было примерно с тем же оттенком?.. С юмором, точнее.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    А я не знаю...

    Значит, to flog profitable?
    "He floged it profitable"?

    He flogged it too big.

    Может быть.

    Нужно подождать носителей языка.

    Толкнуть = продать.

Например, менеджер в автомагазине может сказать:
    Вчера выгодно толкнул пару автомобилей.

    Или торговец наркотиками:
Вчера выгодно толкнул 2 килограмма героина.

Well, "flog" is not a bad choice if you're talking to an Englishman, but an American (or Canadian, maybe) may or may not understand.

My guess at the American equivalent is "unload".

If you want to convey the idea that you took advantage of someone, you would say "unload smth. on smb."

For example: "I unloaded my old, smelly socks on that gullible archeologist by telling him that they were from King Tut's tomb."

"I unloaded 4 kilos of heroin last night. I'm rich!"
"I flogged 4 kilos of heroin last night. I'm rich!"

I guess that's pretty close, but I'd still like to see the whole sentence before I make my final decision.

    Also, depending on the context:

I'm afraid we're having a copyright issue here. This is not my saying in the first place (I mean I didn't invent it. Actually it's quite an old saying originating ... I don't remember where or when it originally came from but I know that it's very old, must be some Greek philosopher or smth.)

If I google that quote, all I get is "Ramil" as аффтар. Congratulations!

But, if it makes you uncomfortable, I'll find another quote.

Of course not, those who think so about themselves are usually called idiots by others

And of course, nobody in this world is wiser than you.
