Thread: American Shows in Russia

In Russia do you have any popular American shows like Lizzie McGuire, SpongeBob Sguarepants, All That, That's So Raven. I realize that most people on this forum probably wouldn't know what these shows are, so in other words is there a popular Russian kids network. This is from my ugly little sister, do you have Barbies in Russia. I've only been there once and couldn't really find any thing kids would like on my grandparenets телевизор. THANX

All shows from Nickelodeon and Disney right?

There used to be a whole store of Barbie stuff at GUM, but the prices were about 100x the prices in America. Also in August we watched a lot of American shows on TV that were dubbed in Russian. I couldn't figure out why everybody who found out I was from California wanted to talk about "Malibu Lifeguards", then were amazed when I didn't know what the heck they were referring to. Until I turned on the TV and saw Bay Watch labeled in Russian as Malibu Lifeguards!

That is very weird. Is GUM still in business?cause when I went to Moscow, it looked like a huge abandoned office building!

I really enjoy watching bad dubs of Latin American soap operas. They're on all the time.
