Thread: What's the best translation of Steven?

I've heard Stefan, Stepan, Styoppa, even Stepashka (not entirely serious, this last one) My parents-in-law just call me by the English Steve, so no real problem has really arisen over it, but I'm just interested to see which Russian version is the closest. My money's on Stefan, cos this is how the Batushka referred to me at my wedding ceremony.

You're right about Stefan (Стефан), but the original Steve (Стив) is sounds good also...
