    Diminutives for non-Russian names?

Is it possible to create diminutives for names that are not Russian? It seems that these do not exist.
For example, my name is Polly... would you do anything to it to make it affectionate?
    Thanks!

    interesting!

    two questions:

1)is there a russian corrispective for the italian name "Leonardo"? (which is my name)

2)is it possible to create a Russian diminuitive/nickname from my name (both affectionate or rather formal)

    thanks!!

Hmm. Леонард…Леонард Иванов sounds a tad surreal though))

Значение имени Леонард, что означает имя Леонард

Леонардик, Леонардушка, Леонардушек, Леонардусик, All of these names are informal, diminutive and affectionate. Леонардушка is my best choice (it’s almoslt like Иванушка)). A bit more formal shortened name that can be coined is Лёня.

Леонардушка in italian sounds very feminine but it's funny

Most probably it would be "Лёва/Лёвочка/Лёвушка" - they are diminutive to Лев which is a Rissian equivalent of Leo.
"Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?
